“I was listening to Trevor Hall’s song “You Can’t Rush Your Healing” on repeat this morning and it inspired me to dig up an old picture of before the Heal Hive to compare to now.
The picture on top is such a sick, sad, completely bedridden, disabled, desperate, and oftentimes hopeless human.
The picture on the bottom is someone filled with so much happiness, vitality, energy, joy, overflowing gratitude and REAL HEALTH!
They look and feel like two different humans. Words fall short…
It took me 2.5 years after joining the Heal Hive to get this place but…
this is the best I have felt in my entire adult life.
I had my first known tick bite 13 years ago when I was 18 years old so feeling sick is all I had known until now.
I had normalized it so much that I didn’t know it was possible to feel as good as I feel now.
Like Trevor Hall says in the song that inspired this post, you can’t rush your healing, but if you stay consistent and dedicated to doing the work it WILL happen!
Patience is still one of my biggest lessons on this journey but the days are long and the years are short and staying committed to healing is the best thing I’ve ever done. And omg it is SO BEYOND WORTH IT.
Waking up everyday happy and filled with energy is the best feeling in the world. It’s bliss. It still feels like a miracle.”
